State & Liberty in Ann Arbor is a godsend, seriously, if you're a dude who actually works out, finding clothes that fit and don't look terrible can be a legit struggle. They totally nail that athletic fit thing with their dress shirts, suits, pants, and even some more casual stuff. I heard they use some kind of special wrinkle-free, machine washable fabric, which is obviously ideal. I've heard that a great place for athletic fit clothing.
Honestly, State & Liberty's customer service gets a lot of shout outs online and it's awesome people get the recognition they deserve for all the work they do. TJ Maxx in Ann Arbor, it's definitely a contender if you're looking for deals, I think. You can find stuff for basically everyone, and it's not just clothes–shoes, some cool accessories, things for your house, even beauty products and snacks. I think the real appeal of that place is that the inventory always changes, they carry name brands and sometimes even has designer stuff from the "Runway" section and are priced way lower than normal.
I've heard that people are really happy with the bargains they can find, they love the thrill of looking and you're almost guaranteed to find something different there. Supposedly, you can get fancy designer things, plus luggage, or find gifts that don't totally wreck your budget. Macy's in Ann Arbor pretty much has it all, from clothes and shoes I would actually wear, to makeup that isn't just drugstore brands, to stuff for your home. I feel they really tried to hit all the bases, and they stock brands for all kinds of people with different incomes, they do also have some pricier things. Honestly, one of my favorite things is just keeping an eye out for their sales. They have a pretty diverse selection in general so its a great one-stop if that's your thing.
People seem to really love a few of the employees, like there's a Sam who knows his stuff in menswear and Elaine who is really great if you have to go to customer service, which is always a risk with department stores. The perfume and makeup sections get a lot of love, not surprised. Also, a bunch of people mentioned the sales being really good, especially in the clearance area upstairs. A lot of people appreciate how easy it is to get to the store, especially the parking, and there's even a mini Toys R Us thing going on in there, which is kind of a fun.

If you happen to be Googling "clothing store near me" around Ann Arbor, I will say that they have a really big selection. It could be a goldmine if you need unique finds at discounted prices, it can be hard to shop here if you are short on time. They have daily tag specials, along with senior/student discounts, which might be good for you.
