The Getup Vintage in Ann Arbor seems to really nail that vintage vibe, sourcing clothes and accessories from different decades. From what I understand, the way they organize everything--by both garment type and era--makes it way easier to find what you're actually looking for, and it looks like they try to promote local artists as well, which I think is pretty awesome. The whole point is that you're supposed to feel good while you're sifting through their curated selection of vintage finds.

Honestly, the best thing I keep hearing about this place is the staff; people rave about how friendly and helpful they are, with Kaylan and Lucia getting lots of shout-outs for their knowledge and passion. Apparently, they're super quick to respond on Instagram, which is ideal if you don't live nearby. The clothing tags have useful information on them too, which simplifies shopping. It's good to know they're are selling high-quality, unique stuff at reasonable prices and that some have scored great pieces for major events. However, some reviews mention prices going up, and a few people have had less-than-stellar customer service experiences, but overall the reviews for The Getup Vintage are really positive.

There's this vintage spot in Ann Arbor called Muse Atelier, and it sounds pretty cool, honestly. They've got a curated collection of vintage clothing, from flapper dresses all the way up to groovy 70s styles and proper showstoppers, and even some new pieces mixed in. I think they cater to a pretty wide range of sizes, too, with XS to XXL. Plus, it's not just dresses, apparently, they stock jewelry, crowns, and all sorts of cute accessories, you know, those finishing touches. They are also known to do photoshoots and special events.

What's really striking is how many people rave about the owner, Tanya, and the staff, especially Luna; people just love them. Customers keep mentioning how welcoming and kind they are, plus they're total pros at helping you find a look that works. People feel like they can trust Tanya's opinion, which is refreshing, and they feel amazing in the clothes they pick out. Also, it sounds like they've created a really inclusive space, which is super important; it's like a haven for the Queer, POC, and Trans community, if you know what I mean. The one downside I did notice is that there's only one changing room, meaning there might be a wait, but that's really the only consistent critique.

Olympia Skate Shop, with locations in Ann Arbor and Ypsi, is definitely more than just a place to buy a deck. It's where the local skaters hang out, and honestly, they have some really cool clothes too, probably the best selection in Ann Arbor. They carry everything, from boards and shoes to clothes and hardware, and I heard they even stock brands from overseas. Plus, they always seem to be doing something fun, hosting video premieres, art openings, contests – it sounds like a pretty rad place to spend some time, even if you just want to check out some art.

People rave about the service there, how friendly and helpful the staff is, especially for newbies trying to figure out what board is right for them. I've been reading that their selection is great too, including some harder-to-find brands. It sounds like it's a pretty chill place where you could meet other skaters. Some people have mentioned it's skater-owned which is always a good sign. Also they said they have a dog. That's a good sign too.

The Himalayan Bazaar is located in Ann Arbor, and it seems to be the kind of place where you can find something you never knew you needed, they have got a bunch of items from the Himalayas. From what I understand, it’s got clothes, religious items, those metaphysical goodies, singing bowls, plus a cool Everest museum corner. I read somewhere that they have great incense, too, and that their collection of religious goods are superb, that sounds great.

Customers often mention how beautiful everything is, and that the people who work there are really friendly, and helpful, which is always a plus. People appreciate the cultural vibe, plus supporting Nepali-made stuff. There are a few reviews praising staff like Durga for being super knowledgeable about singing bowls, and some people really enjoyed the sound bathing sessions, though others did complain that things are a little pricey. Though, I did read some stuff that made it seem really great, one person even said that there was nothing else they would rather do but return to the store!

Altar'd State in Briarwood seems like a super cute spot in Ann Arbor, blending clothes with those little home accents that just make a place feel cozy. From what I've gathered, it's got a distinct boho vibe, they have all kinds of clothing, jewelry, even candles and cute mugs. I've heard they really do have a wide range so if you are searching for a clothing store, that is a great place to start. You can tell they put a lot of care and attention into crafting a distinctive aesthetic.

You see so many people online who rave about how friendly and attentive the staff is, there are many customers who mention particular employees by name, saying they provide personalized assistance. A lot of reviewers mention the clothing is high quality, plus the sizing is more realistic, which, let's be honest, is amazing. A bunch of people enjoy that they donate some of their profits to charity. I did read that some people were caught off guard by higher prices or found it a bit hard to grasp the sales, so it's definitely something to be aware of when you stop in.

Today Clothing in Ann Arbor has this rep, right? Apparently, for guys who are into current styles and want quality, it's *the* place, if you can believe the buzz. They've got brands that are legitimately hard to find, think Japanese raw denim and stuff made in the US; it's supposed to be a really unique selection, not just your typical department store stuff. You'll find everything from fancy denim to footwear, and the style blends all these different influences, like American workwear mixed with Japanese design and maybe a little European flair too, I guess.

What's cool is everyone talks about the service and how knowledgeable the staff are; Eric and Kevin, they own the place, people mention them all the time for being super friendly and actually knowing their stuff. It sounds like they're good at giving advice without being pushy, which is a big plus. Reviews keep saying they carry things you just don't see anywhere else in the Midwest. Plus, they really want you to know how to take care of your clothes and find the right fit. Sure, it’s not the cheapest, but people seem to think it's worth it for the quality and how long things last - and maybe I would treat myself too, if I had a big date coming up and I wanted a unique layered look.

Fleet Feet in Ann Arbor West isn't just some random place selling sneakers, it's a legit specialty store for running and walking shoes, plus they've got clothes and gear. Word on the street is they do a whole foot analysis thing, measuring your gait and using tech to find the best shoes for *your* feet. You’ll find lots of brands and styles, even ones that are good if your feet are being a pain.

What I keep hearing from people is that the staff is super helpful and know their stuff, which is good when you can be overwhelmed and end up getting the wrong shoe. A lot of folks give shout-outs to employees like Tim, Catherine, Burton, Tomas, Owen, Katherine, Allan, Alyssa, Alisha, and Josh. People mentioned the personalized attention and thorough explanations and said the staff was very patient, which is a huge plus. Some customers appreciated that the store helped with special needs. Not everyone's experience is perfect, of course - some had hiccups with online orders or felt prices were a bit high, but generally the feedback is solid, especially those needing help with plantar fasciitis, wide feet.

Ann Arbor T-Shirt Company, also called AATC, seems to be a spot to get t-shirts and other apparel, plus some random stuff too, I think. From what I'm seeing, they specialize in cool, unique t-shirt designs, but also sell fan merch, especially if you're a Starkid fan. You can grab pre-designed gear, though they do custom printing on t-shirts and jackets too. If you need custom gear made, Ann Arbor T-Shirt Company should be on your radar to consider, you may or may not like their service.

Customer feedback seems pretty consistently glowing; like people rave about the customer service. Fast shipping gets mentioned a lot, even internationally. Most of the reviewers talks about the quality of their products. Apparently, they even include handwritten notes which, honestly, is a nice touch, and makes you feel like they appreciate your order. Connie, Kat, James, Melissa, Chris, DiGi, plus Nate are some names I've seen, shouted out for being super helpful during the ordering process. Quick turnaround times are a plus, especially for custom designs. AATC is supposed to be pretty good about fixing any problems, sometimes throwing in freebies and sending out replacements. Just a word of warning, one person mentioned employee treatment took a dip with new management prioritizing profits, but that was one bad review out of many.

Fourth Ave Birkenstock, located in Ann Arbor, is a shoe store that has a lot of great reviews and specializes in Birkenstocks, but they also stock other comfy brands such as Lems and Blundstone, which is good to know. It’s kinda cool they’re family owned, and people are really into them if you read the reviews. What's really nice is that they aren't just about new sales; they also repair and resole Birkenstocks, so you can get way more wear out of your old favorites, which is economical, really. And I hear they got some killer socks.

People are always saying good things; the staff is supposedly super helpful and knowledgable. A lot of customers specifically mentioned the help they got finding the right fit, with some people saying the employees went above and beyond, they even offered custom adjustments if you need them. Plus, people like that the store is committed to supporting local business; also, its commitment to eco-conscious practices is pretty appealing. A lot of reviewers were happy with their repair jobs, too, like someone's beloved old sandals got a total makeover. I think they might be a bit slow to get to repairs, and there’s a wait, but most people are happy, and the wait is so worth it.

Sierra's my go-to when I'm trying to find a good deal on outdoor stuff and athletic gear, a cross between REI and TJ Maxx if you will. It's part of the TJ Maxx/Marshalls family, so their inventory's always being updated, which is really nice if you're looking for something specific – you just have to keep checking back, I am not making that up! I always find something for myself and the dog, which is a bonus.

One of the best thing is that Sierra seems to consistently have discounted name-brand stuff, which I definitely appreciate. Their prices are pretty reasonable and the store usually is clean and organized, which makes me want to shop there more. I’ve heard you can even order online and then return stuff in the store, too. Not saying it's perfect, I guess some people haven't had the best customer service, and the women's clothes section could have more options for sure, but all-in-all I really do love it.

Fleet Feet in downtown Ann Arbor is a go-to for runners and walkers trying to find the right gear because its selection is good. They’ve got all sorts of shoes, socks, and accessories, plus they do foot scans and analyze your gait to make sure you're getting a perfect fit, which is pretty important for avoiding injuries. The shop also seems to host local running events, building a community around fitness and activity.

Honestly, what stands out most is their staff; people rave about how knowledgeable and helpful everyone is, especially Tim, Paul, James, Megan, Ramey, Chris, Joe, and Danielle, going the extra mile to give tailored advice, a customer commented, "I felt like he gave me the tools to make the decision about the insert.". They’re patient, they don’t rush you, and they explain the tech behind shoe designs and support, the reviews noted. However, reading online, there were instances where people had issues with online orders, or maybe didn't get the attention they needed when walking in, and there's been some concern about the prices. Some of them can be pretty high and customers get pushed by the staffs.

Seriously, so many reviewers online rave about the staff, especially Claire, Jenna, Carson, and a bunch of others. Apparently, they are super helpful and friendly, which makes shopping way more enjoyable. People keep mentioning how clean and organized the store is, not to mention the massive selection, so it's a definite go-to for thrifting. Did you know the store is bigger now? People seem really happy about the expansion because there's even more to look through. A lot of people also say they give you a fair price when you sell your clothes, which is always a win.

DXL Big + Tall in Ann Arbor seems to be the spot if you're a guy who has trouble finding clothes that fit, and it sounds similar to what I see my brother struggling with. They supposedly have everything from t-shirts to suits, so at least you're not limited. It's potentially the best option in Ann Arbor for finding a broader range of sizes; but maybe that's not saying a ton. The price point is definitely something to consider when weighing it against other options.

I've heard a lot of people rave about the staff, especially people like Nicole, Jeremiah, Christian, and Linda. Those employees seem to go above and beyond. Honestly, personalized service is such a win, particularly if you are confused on fit or style. For the most part people have good things to say about the store itself, noting its cleanliness and how organized everything is, though a few griped about the layout. I did notice some comments about prices being high and that you might not always find exactly what you want in stock.

Anthropologie in Ann Arbor? It's got this vibe, this carefully chosen selection of clothes, home stuff, jewelry, and bath and body things. I've heard its style is described as unique; they have a variety of items from different designers. Some shoppers even think it's the best place in Ann Arbor if you're hunting for something a bit different.

The staff get a lot of love for being so nice and helpful, that's what I've read anyway, and it sounds like their home section—candles, journals, and gift-y things—are really popular. Lots of people seem to enjoy finding new designers and clothes that aren't exactly cookie-cutter, even when they don't always find what they want. However, I've also seen some comments about the prices being pretty high, and how the inventory isn't always as good as some of the other Anthropologie stores. One person complained that they found the sales staff were hovering a bit too much, though most shoppers seem to have pleasant experiences, there were a few complaints about online returns as well.

The Ann Arbor Marshalls seems to be a pretty popular spot for clothes and home stuff, and people always say they can find really good deals. I think the selection is solid, especially if you're into name-brand clothing, plus they apparently have an amazing sneaker collection. It's a total win to score quality items without spending a ton, right?

What's consistently mentioned is how nice the staff is, particularly Nadia and Ingrid, which makes a huge difference when you're shopping. It sounds as though the place has a ton of good prices, and I've read many reviews praising the available gifts and shoes too. It’s definitely a spot where you can find something you didn't even know you *needed*, although admittedly I've also heard a few complaints about it being kind of messy and they don't have a huge plus-size selection, though.

State & Liberty in Ann Arbor is a godsend, seriously, if you're a dude who actually works out, finding clothes that fit and don't look terrible can be a legit struggle. They totally nail that athletic fit thing with their dress shirts, suits, pants, and even some more casual stuff. I heard they use some kind of special wrinkle-free, machine washable fabric, which is obviously ideal. I've heard that a great place for athletic fit clothing.

Honestly, State & Liberty's customer service gets a lot of shout outs online and it's awesome people get the recognition they deserve for all the work they do. People specifically call out staff like Matt, Lisa, Tyrone, Genna, Madelyn, Miles, and Christian because they're helpful and professional, it's so nice when your treated with respect. Plus, a ton of customers rave about the fit, particularly if they've got broad shoulders and a smaller waist; they swear their shirts and suits are the most comfortable ever. Sure, I saw a few people mentioned the fabric pilling sometimes or having a weird online ordering experience, so be aware, but overall everyone seems pretty happy with the brand and especially with the store in Ann Arbor.

A lot of people rave about the savings you can find here, especially on designer brands and shoes. And, the employees like Caroline, Theo, Kiyah, Jessica, Natalie and Yolanda get shout-outs for really going above and beyond with the customer service. TJ Maxx in Ann Arbor, it's definitely a contender if you're looking for deals, I think. You can find stuff for basically everyone, and it's not just clothes–shoes, some cool accessories, things for your house, even beauty products and snacks. I think the real appeal of that place is that the inventory always changes, they carry name brands and sometimes even has designer stuff from the "Runway" section and are priced way lower than normal.

I've heard that people are really happy with the bargains they can find, they love the thrill of looking and you're almost guaranteed to find something different there. Supposedly, you can get fancy designer things, plus luggage, or find gifts that don't totally wreck your budget. It's good to hear, though, that there's staff who are actually nice and want to help, particularly a shout-out to a manager named Clarke, and others like Shawn, Luna, and Helena. I've been told that while the store can be messy or lines are long, they still have quality items for everyone at cheap prices.

Macy's in Ann Arbor pretty much has it all, from clothes and shoes I would actually wear, to makeup that isn't just drugstore brands, to stuff for your home. I feel they really tried to hit all the bases, and they stock brands for all kinds of people with different incomes, they do also have some pricier things. Honestly, one of my favorite things is just keeping an eye out for their sales. They have a pretty diverse selection in general so its a great one-stop if that's your thing.

People seem to really love a few of the employees, like there's a Sam who knows his stuff in menswear and Elaine who is really great if you have to go to customer service, which is always a risk with department stores. The perfume and makeup sections get a lot of love, not surprised. Also, a bunch of people mentioned the sales being really good, especially in the clearance area upstairs. A lot of people appreciate how easy it is to get to the store, especially the parking, and there's even a mini Toys R Us thing going on in there, which is kind of a fun.

The Salvation Army Family Store in Ann Arbor, it's actually pretty big, which is good because it means a huge selection of, well, everything! You can typically find clothes for anyone (babies to adults, which is good) and some furniture finds. Plus, housewares, books, and electronics are typically somewhere in the mix too. If you happen to be Googling "clothing store near me" around Ann Arbor, I will say that they have a really big selection. It could be a goldmine if you need unique finds at discounted prices, it can be hard to shop here if you are short on time. They have daily tag specials, along with senior/student discounts, which might be good for you.

People often say the store has a really big selection (which is true). I've also heard good things about the possibility for finding awesome deals on clothes, housewares, and books, which is always a plus, right? It's nice that they have a bunch of fitting rooms. One thing: senior discounts. Everyone really digs that. Parking is another big plus, if there is space. The donation drop-off is supposed to be easy (so I hear), and it's said that the staff is usually pretty nice. Word of warning, though: people have mentioned that sometimes the pricing can be inconsistent. Also, sometimes the checkout lines can get a little long, so maybe plan for that. Plus, remember to BYOB (bring your own bags), because they do charge for those at the register.

Plus, some customers say the staff are pretty friendly and helpful, which makes shopping way less of a pain, but I did read one review that said a manager was really rude and unprofessional about a coupon. I've also noticed reviews mention long lines and some issues with returns which is always a drag. I heard that one cashier was unpleasant about plus sizes, what's that about?
