KooKoo's Nest seems to be *the* place for dresses in Bismarck; I mean, seriously, everyone's talking about it! They supposedly have styles that work on any body, which, let's be real, is pretty rare. Plus, from prom gowns to wedding guest attire, they carry a range of dresses for all those fancy-ish events that are constantly popping up. They also carry boutique-style items and accessories so you can finish your look; that could be useful for some people.

Word on the street is their customer service is, like, actually good, which is kind of a big deal these days. People keep mentioning how friendly and helpful the employees are, they even give style recommendations or what would look good, according to the reviews. Apparently, they do a good job supporting local business owners. They appear to have a range of formal wear that fits within a variety of budgets, although some do say prices can be high for a few things, and you gotta book an appointment to shop for dresses. I mean, it's clearly a hot spot, you know?

Torrid, based in Bismarck, really caters to the plus-size market with stuff ranging from dresses and suits to casual leggings. The impression I get, in general, is that they want women to feel good wearing their clothes, and that’s a great goal. Their popularity probably comes from the focus on good quality and making customers feel like they are confident.

The biggest compliment I see often is that the staff is generally great, ready to help you find the right thing, and know the inventory. It helps that people can return items if they don't fit right, which is a really nice touch. It could be pricey to shop here. Every now and then I read about a bad customer experience, but what I see is that it's mostly positive, that the women who work at Torrid are helpful and friendly.

Runnings in Bismarck seems to be a local favorite since it really carries, well, just about everything. I mean, you can get clothing, tools, farm supplies, pet food, and even ammo there; what's not to love? And you know you're in North Dakota if you have a local store selling farm, ranch and firearm accessories. They seem to pride themselves on having great prices but I'd always double check that.

A ton of people seem to think their prices are fair and the quality is solid; they have a really good selection, plus you can get work clothes, outdoor gear, and stuff for the farm all in one stop. It's such a relief knowing they're dog-friendly, and some people really love their plants and gardening stuff. I've also heard good things about the staff, and they're generally helpful and ready to lend a hand even though some folks don't always have the best experience.

Eddie Bauer in Bismarck is, ya know, pretty well-known around here. I've heard they're good for consistently having good quality stuff, from cozy beanies to proper cold-weather gear, and I know a few people shop specifically for their jeans. Plus, finding tall sizes can be a pain, so that's a major win for some people I know who shop around for those specific sizes!

What I hear most often about Eddie Bauer is the staff being super helpful; I've heard they'll bend over backwards if you are looking for something. Apparently, the shop is kept really clean as well which is always a plus. Some people feel the full prices can be a bit steep, but if you catch a good sale, it is worth it. Although there have been complaints, most people seem pretty happy, my friend swears it's the only place my friend gets her clothes, even.

Buckle seems to be a well-known clothing store in Bismarck. People often mention the spot for its decent selection of clothes, including designer jeans, jewelry, and watches for men and women. Apparently, they’re pretty famous for their low-rise jeans, in particular, and flashier styles, which is perfect if that's the vibe you're trying to give off.

What gets talked about a lot is the excellent customer service, which I feel like you can't take for granted anymore. People have shared stories where someone on staff went out of their way to help them pick out stuff without being too pushy. One thing that some find tricky is their return policy, specially if you used PayPal, but other than that, the high quality of the clothes seems worth the steeper price point. Plus a handful of people have mentioned the staff are cute, so that’s a plus, I guess.

Scheels in Bismarck is seriously impressive; it's way more than just a clothing store. They have everything. From what I hear, their outdoor gear selection is massive, think camping, hunting, even stuff for firearms and archery, and of course, shoes. I've heard a lot of people talk about how it's more than just a shopping destination too, they've got a cafe where you can grab lunch, Ginna's, and there's a bowling alley. Seems handy if you're trying to kill an afternoon when the weather isn't great.

Most folks rave about the staff, seems they're really friendly and actually know their stuff, plus other's mention the staff's knowledge is super helpful if you're not exactly sure what you're looking for or if you want to ask some questions. I hear the store is well-organized, clean, and usually well-stocked. It's cool that they carry such a wide array of brands, too. On the other hand, some people think it's a little on the pricey side, and I did see a couple of complaints about customer service making folks feel uncomfortable, those people didn't seem happy about it, but on the whole, Scheels still seems to be a go-to spot for a lot of people for outdoor and sports-related stuff.

People definitely seem to rave about their t-shirt selection; apparently, they're always getting new designs, and the prices are actually decent.

I gotta say, from what everyone tells me, the staff is a big reason why people enjoy going there. Many people love the inclusivity of the merchandise, like the pride stuff, and find the staff to be friendly. It sounds like a place where you can find something for everyone on your list, but you might have to squeeze your way through to find it.

So many people find great deals on clothes and housewares. A lot of people appreciate the baby clothes section, and others the fitness gear. I hear the checkouts go fast. There are always some bad experiences because there are grumpy people out there, but most people seem to really love it and say they can always find something good. It's a fav for a reason!
