Citi Trends on Durham's a spot that's got a bunch of stuff, clothes, accessories; the whole deal for everybody. They're known to have some serious deals with affordable prices, plus name-brand stuff. If you are looking for urban styles, shoes, or even cologne you may want to check there.

You know, a lot of people really dig the prices and selection at Citi Trends, especially for men's and women's clothing, also things for kids. People have mentioned how polite the workers can be and how the customer service, when the management's on point, is just all around pretty good. Plus, the store is clean and it's organized, you know? Sometimes, finding certain sizes is a problem, and the location can be a tiny bit dicey, but I get the impression it is more than worth it to shop. A few shoppers have mentioned longer return times too.

Vert & Vogue seems to be *the* spot in Durham for unique finds. They stock a range of things from clothes and accessories to jewelry and even fragrances, all from smaller, independent designers who apparently focus on ethical production - you know, making sure no one gets exploited along the way. It's pretty neat, I guess, that they prioritize sustainability and being a good community member. They also have some men's accessories, and I think I read that they also sell some home decor stuff.

Seriously, people can't stop talking about how amazing the customer service is at Vert & Vogue; everyone raves about the staff being super helpful and friendly, really going the extra mile to make shopping feel personal, I think. Customers constantly mentioning how they discover new styles and just feel good about what they're buying. Plus, people are getting compliments all the time on the cool, well-made clothes from there. Exotique in Durham seems like such a cool spot, a total gem for imported African goods. They carry a wide selection, from exotic clothes and stunning art to those amazing-smelling scented oils, plus jewelry, dashikis, waist beads – even candles and skincare, I think. It's supposed to be known for authentic African fabrics, traditional attire, plus African-American art which is pretty neat, offering something kinda different for those of us bored with the usual mall suspects.

Seriously, people rave about Exotique, especially those who love supporting Black-owned businesses, a definite plus. From what I've seen, it's known for one-of-a-kind finds and a real sense of authentic African culture, which sounds amazing. And so many talk about the customer service is great, the staff being super friendly and helpful and that the shop really supports local indi musicians too. I understand that sometimes the hours aren't consistent, but based on the reviews, it's totally worth the risk, if you ask me.

Dolly's Vintage sounds pretty cool, it's apparently this really vibrant clothing store in Durham that is more than just clothes. They've got a bunch of new and vintage stuff, plus quirky little gifts, cards, accessories, even some things for kids – the kind of place where you can find a vintage dress next to a hand-painted George Michael coaster, but maybe it doesn't always have that vintage feel. It seems their strength is the selection of fun kitsch, vintage pieces, and unexpected novelty items.

People seem to really dig Dolly's, often calling it charming and a great spot for finding unique treasures. The staff gets props for being friendly, especially the owner, Larisa, plus a lot of people are impressed with how they support local artists. Most also appreciate the prices, especially considering some of the vintage pieces, and they say it is a fun destination and I heard that one employee with bright orange hair is awesome. Overall, seems mostly positive, but I did see that someone felt ignored once and another person thought it wasn't very vintage-y.

It's got this rep for being a really awesome place to find cool, well-cared-for vintage stuff, everything from clothes to furniture, jewelry and home decor, covering like, the '20s all the way up to early 2000s. Ovando Fashion Western Wear seems like a pretty solid choice if you're in Durham and are looking to find some Western-inspired gear. From what I've gathered from other peoples reviews, it sounds similar to a huge department store, but just western-themed. They apparently have everything ranging from denim jeans to boots, hats, and even jewelry for men, women, and kids. A few reviewers mentioned they carry all the name brands and the denim selection alone seems worth checking out, particularly if you are in the Carolinas.

I mean, based on reviews it seems the staff is friendly, helpful, and know their stuff, which is always a plus. A lot of people rave about the boot and denim selection, plus the quality and fit of their jeans is something that people comment on. There are a few reviewers who thought the accessories could be overpriced for the quality and mentioned issues regarding returns, so just make sure you're fully set on your purchase before you check out. Overall, though, the positive reviews seem to outweigh the negative, making it a good place to check out if you're in the market for western wear.

Uptown Cheapskate in Durham is a surprisingly great option when you're on the hunt for clothes without breaking the bank. They've got a decent selection of gently used stuff, like Lululemon and Free People, but its generally not your average thrift store prices, you know? I heard they're pretty selective about what they take, which is why the clothes they have are actually worth buying. It's suppose to be fairly easy to find exactly what you're looking for with their organization, which is a big plus, I have to say.

Word on the street is that the staff at the Durham location are total sweethearts, always super helpful which is always a bonus. People seem to appreciate how easy it is to both buy and sell clothes there, with some even scoring pretty decent payouts for their stuff or choosing store credit to find something new (or new to them). While most people highlight the cleanliness and name-brand clothes at good prices, it's not a perfect place, for a few people the selling process wasn't so great, with reports of payouts changing, items going missing, or concern about limited clothing sizes that they take in.

Vaguely Reminiscent is this cool, kinda quirky gift shop and clothing store nearby in Durham, and they really cram so much cool stuff into a small space. They're known for a really eclectic collection of jewelry, and I've heard their earrings are amazing, plus accessories, greeting cards that aren't total garbage, socks, home stuff, toys, games, plus clothes and shoes that people say are comfy. The vibe is very much about gifts and things you really won't find everywhere, kind of focused on local makers, which is great for getting something that will suit anyone.

People tend to say the staff is super nice, and are willing to bend over backwards, which is a huge plus, I think. Lots of folks really dig that they always have the perfect little trinket for any occasion and that they're so diverse. I heard there was one review someone thought the staff watches too closely which feels accusatory but, on the flip side, it has been around for almost 40 years and someone said the staff knows where to find everything. Anyway, I am really curious about the "saint candles" with pictures of authors on them.

Hibbett Sports in Durham is a spot where you can find athletic stuff, including clothes, shoes, and equipment. I think they focus on carrying a solid lineup of running and tennis shoes, alongside the usual athletic apparel. If you're trying to find a sporting goods store in the area, Hibbett Sports should def be on your list of options to check out.

A lot of people compliment the team that works at Hibbett; that they're friendly, attentive, and super helpful. Specifically mentioning people who went above and beyond is a common theme. It seems many have had smooth experiences with their online orders, exchanges, and getting their stuff shipped pretty quickly. People seem to appreciate the shoe selection and the store's atmosphere. Some people have said they actually prefer it over stores such as Dick's Sporting Goods. While some customers reported negative experiences with online orders, curbside pickup, and customer service; with some mentioning things such as lost rewards and what they perceived as racial profiling incidents, there is definitely more positive reviews overall.

They even have stuff for your dog, which, let's be honest, is adorable but kinda unnecessary.

I mean, yeah, it can get a little pricey, I've seen some comments that, you know, you might find similar things elsewhere for less cash; however, I've also heard that their customer service is really top-notch. Bernard's Formalwear in Durham is definitely somewhere you should consider if you're in need of some swanky menswear for a wedding, prom, or even just a fancy night out. They’ve got a solid selection of tuxedos and suits to either buy or rent, which is super convenient, and they’re a great option for black tie events. Bernard's also offers on-site alterations as well as cleaning services, which, let’s be honest, is a lifesaver when you don't want to deal with running all over town.

Seriously though, people rave about the service they get over at Bernard's, especially Keith; a lot of the reviews mention him by name! They're super helpful and really know their stuff when it comes to fits and helping you pick out colors that work, plus it seems like they handle last-minute requests without breaking a sweat. Many are impressed with the quality, finding that the suits looked perfect and that the fit was just right; there were even some reviewers who snagged a lightly-used tux for less than the price of a rental, which is awesome. Though one customer had an issue with a dirty suit and sizing, but it sounds like that was a pretty isolated incident based on the overall customer feedback.

There's even been some compliments for the employees and the vibe, which is always a bonus. I guess the only thing that seems to be a deterrent for the customers is the lines, which I can see being a huge turn off but most stores deal with that issue anyway.

It looks like the Ross Dress for Less in Durham can be a pretty great spot if you're in the mood for a bargain hunt. They've got a whole bunch of stuff, from clothes and shoes to home goods and even some designer fragrances; you can find some killer deals there. What's cool is you might stumble upon some really unique or designer pieces without breaking the bank. It's a decent option if you're trying to find someplace to shop for clothes nearby.

A lot of people seem to really dig the "treasure hunt" vibe, apparently you can score dresses, shoes, plus household stuff at awesome prices. I have seen some comments about Alicia, a cashier, getting praise for being super helpful and friendly. While some shoppers do bring up long lines and the place being messy, you're probably going to have a better shopping day if you go during the slower hours; maybe avoid weekend afternoons. Plus, if you find something you even remotely want, grab it—it probably won't be there later!

Beauty World in Durham is quite the spectacle. You could easily spend an hour just wandering through the aisles. I think it's safe to say it's more than just your run-of-the-mill beauty supply shop; it’s honestly a massive emporium. It carries practically everything, from a wide array of hair products, extensions and wigs to a decent amount of makeup, skincare, and all the nail supplies you might need. Sometimes I feel they should have more associates though since it's really easy to get lost. And if you're surprised, yeah, they have clothes, shoes, and accessories, turning it into a potentially dangerous one-stop shop, watch your wallet!

I hear that a good amount of people consistently praise the store for its huge selection, organized setup and variety. When looking for something very specific, or for a particular type of beard oil, the sales staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. A lot of the time Beauty World has a large selection for popular brands so you have a higher chance of finding what you're looking for. I've read that pricing can be inconsistent which is a pain, and some folks mention expired products occasionally too. Customer service might be hit or miss depending on who you talk to, plus I noticed a few people mentioned issues with the return policy, however that happens at most places.
