San Lorenzo Bikinis in Kailua is seriously a go-to spot if you're on the hunt for unique swimwear. They have cover-ups and dresses too, plus all sorts of beachy things. Lots of people say the patterns and styles are just way cuter than what you usually see around, especially compared to the stuff you find online and it can be hard to buy online, or made in Asia. If you're hunting for a bikini around Kailua, you will probably find something that is your taste. Plus, since it's super close to the beach, it makes total sense to pop in for those "oops, I forgot" vacation essentials.

People go on about the customer service, and they specifically shout out associates like Nancy, Jenna, Milan, Rhea, Bella, Rosie, Kiera, and Devin. A lot of shoppers mentioned how sweet the staff are. Reviews talk about getting awesome advice, finding stuff that fits perfectly, and just feeling good being in the store. It seems like the huge selection of bikinis and clothes is a big draw, not to mention the shop itself being really visually appealing. And the materials? Apparently super soft and comfy. One person did say they had a tough time finding smaller sizes and it got kinda warm in there and that the staff wasn't attentive. However, the staff do keep the store clean from sand, they are patient and they can help find the right sizes.

808 Skate in Kailua sounds like the kind of place where you can find legit skate gear, from boards and shoes to all the apparel you could want. They seem to be stocked for skaters of any level, whether you’re trying to build a whole new setup or just need to replace a few parts. I hear they really nail that vibe, and if you're searching specifically in Kailua for a clothing store that really leans into skateboarding, I’ve heard that 808 Skate might be the spot.

I mean, apparently their staff is seriously amazing. People keep going on about how friendly and helpful they are, that they will happily help with things like helmet sizing or advising customers on the skate spots nearby. I read that they will even fix boards even if you didn’t get the board from them. Sure, I did notice a few comments mentioning the prices being a little on the higher side, and there was that one dude who wasn't thrilled with a bushing replacement, but the overall buzz is super positive. It seems to show that they are very dedicated to the local skateboarding community, by supplying quality products, as well as really solid customer service.

Island Snow in Kailua is a total gem; I think it's because it's a surf shop *and* a shave ice spot, which is a fun combo. The clothing side is stocked with beach essentials. Think: surf wear, streetwear, cool hats, and, obvi, flip-flops and tanks - so it's super convenient if you're heading to the beach. Honestly, if you’re in Kailua and looking for clothes, swing by, and you might as well treat yourself to some shaved ice afterwards. They're so close to the water, which is so perfect on a hot day.

People seem to be obsessed with their shave ice. A lot of reviews talk about how yummy it is, especially if you go with the natural flavors; the texture is really soft and fluffy, too. Everyone loves the free scoop of vanilla ice cream they put on the bottom, and you can get add-ons with it. Mochi, adzuki beans, even a "snow cap", people are into it. And for what it's worth, lots of folks have mentioned that President Obama is also a fan, that's a fun fact, right? I think someone mentioned the syrup flavors can be inconsistent, but overall, the reviews really skew positive.

Manuhealii in Kailua has some really cute Hawaiian-style clothes, and they're not just for tourists either, you know? They carry stuff for men, women, and kids, so it's easy to find something for everyone, I've heard. From what I gather, the designs are really authentic, a lot of times actually made right here on Oahu, which is cool. It’s said they’re constantly putting out new, limited-edition things, which means you aren't as likely to see someone else wearing your outfit. They’ve got aloha shirts, dresses, and even matching sets, it's a one stop shop. Some folks might think the prices are a bit up there, but honestly, most of the reviews say the quality is usually worth it, right?

Everyone seems to rave about the staff at Manuhealii being really nice and helpful, apparently they know their stuff when it comes to the clothing. It is nice that they can find the perfect thing for everyone. Plus, people seem to appreciate the gift-wrapping service and the fact that a lot of their products are made in America. I can't ignore the negative reviews where some people experienced rude staff. I hope that is a rarity.

Island Snow in Kailua is more than just a place to grab shave ice; it's also a shop with seriously cool clothes, including Stussy, Patagonia, and Vans. They have so many cute stickers available as well, you're bound to find one you adore! Honestly, if you're on the hunt for that perfect Hawaii-themed tee or just a fresh look, the clothing side has you covered, but don't forget to get shave ice at the back. I've heard it is something to experience and you will love it.

What makes Island Snow special, besides the shopping, is the shave ice. A lot of people swear it's the best on the windward side, the flavors are super natural, the ice is so soft, and they are generous with the syrup. Macadamia nut ice cream on the bottom is supposed to be a must-try, alongside the snow cap topping. Apparently, the POG, Kula Strawberry, mango, and lilikoi flavors are favorites. Plus the staff is normally really friendly, but just a head's up, there might be an employee or two that can be rude, and the lines can get long. And, remember to bring your own spoon!

Target in Kailua, it's just massive, right? I mean, it's a solid spot for, you know, grabbing clothes on a budget, but the cool part is they have basically everything else too. You can pick up groceries and electronics plus, oddly enough, those fresh flower leis, which are pretty, I guess. They even pack in a pharmacy, which is great when you've got that weird vacation cold and Starbucks and Longs are right there if you need them. Its seriously convenient, you can definitely find almost anything you need for everyday living, unless they're out of stock, which happens.

People seem to dig the Kailua Target, and I understand. The word on the street is that's it typically really clean, it has a nice, spread-out layout, and the prices? Total score. Folks often say the staff is super friendly and actually helpful, though, I guess, some experiences are inconsistent. A lot of people are really happy about the order pickup and drive-up options, especially when the employees are efficient getting it to the car. For tourists, that souvenir and local food selection is a total winner, and it's cheaper than those tourist trap places, ya know. Plus, apparently the restrooms are usually spotless, but hey, maybe those cleaning employees need a raise.
