Maurices in Kansas City generally has a pretty good selection of clothes, especially if you're trying to find something that's not too young but still, you know, fashionable, at least that's what some people tell me. I've heard that finding a flattering fit is relatively easy; the quality seems okay for the price point, but it doesn't last. I'm also told that they mark down a lot of the clothes, or run sales, making it possible to put together some trendy outfits without totally blowing your budget, which is crucial these days.

I've heard a lot of people talking about the staff is what really elevates the shopping experience, though I can't vouch for it. There's some employees who people say are really helpful when trying to find the right fit, and just generally offering friendly assistance. Apparently, Chrystel, Bre, Logan, and Maya have all been mentioned specifically for their above-average professionalism, which is good because finding friendly, helpful people at stores isn't always easy. There have been some, like, off comments about the building itself -- but you can't expect them to rebuild. Also, prices seem to have gone up, too.

Daisy Lee Vintage in Kansas City is definitely on my radar. From what I've gathered, they've got this killer selection of vintage threads, especially if you're into the 90s or Y2K era and wanna relive your childhood. Plus, they seem to be constantly rotating new stuff, including clothes, accessories, and even art - it's good to see local shops with good variety. Word on the street is that it's one of the best spots to snag vintage clothing in the city, i'm starting to get the hint!

What really caught my attention is that people rave about the staff; they're supposedly super friendly and helpful, which can make all the difference. It seems they curate their pieces well, with reasonable prices, and customers are always finding something they love, so no need to get your hands dirty when you find what you're looking for. Many are saying the clothes are on trend, with inclusive sizing, and the owners are dedicated to sustainability, which is always a win; plus, I heard they host vintage events and offer styling tips too. While I did see some gripes about the number of cropped tops, I think most people go there for this style, so it's not a real surprise.

Marshalls is a go-to spot in Kansas City if you're trying to find a deal, I hear. What I get from it is, it's where you can score discounted name-brand clothes, accessories, plus stuff for your house. They basically aim to offer really good quality without the normal retail markup, which draws in people who are trying to save a buck. It's great if you're looking for some excellent prices with a great value and a few unique treasures.

People are always raving about the prices at Marshalls and the thrill of finding something totally unique; I've heard that the State Avenue location, for example, is a prime one with great staff. A lot of people also dig that the stores are clean and well-organized, too, which is always a plus, right? The friendly staff seems to always be a plus and many reviews mentioned how easily it is to find exactly what they're looking for, or to simply navigate the store, too. It seems to be a popular place to find your local Kansas City merch, or even just a tasty gourmet item.

Citi Trends in Kansas City seems pretty good if you're looking for budget-friendly options for the entire family. They're stocked with a pretty big selection of clothes and accessories that could maybe update your wardrobe, plus stuff for the house and even toys. People tend to be all about stores where you can find trendy pieces without breaking the bank and there's the added bonus of sizes for everybody. They have good sales, and sometimes that's a winner.

I've heard people say that they've gotten really cute clothes and accessories at Citi Trends, especially for their kids, which is always a win. A lot of people mention the employees being super nice and helpful, which I think is really important. I would probably go back if the staff treated me nice the first time. Though, sometimes it seems can get disorganized and messy and I heard the cashiers aren't always the nicest, so I guess it's a mixed bag. There is also a lack of staff, as I hear, the good prices are well worth the hassle.

Slabotsky's Menswear is a place around here in Kansas City that seems to specialize in suits, formal attire, and some tailoring deals for guys. Turns out, they carry a pretty big range of suits available to purchase – including wedding packages which include the tailoring. Honestly, that's a pretty sweet deal. It sounds like you can find outfits for most fancy event, starting with weddings and special events, all the way to business casual with dress shirts and ties. Word on the street is that they also do alterations for your clothes, which is awesome, because who fits in clothes perfectly off the rack anyway?

Specifically, customers keep highlighting Bruce and his team for being super knowledgeable and friendly, plus willing to go the extra mile. What's interesting is how many people have commented on the quality and value of the suits - a bunch of people say that it's cheaper than renting. Reviewers really appreciated the tailoring that felt super personalized. And I mean, they're set up to coordinate suits for whole wedding parties, that’s convenient especially since some of the groomsmen will be coming from out of town. Rally House in Union Station? It's where you can find all sorts of KC sports stuff, I mean, it's kinda a one-stop shop for your Chiefs and other teams' gear. You can get anything there from t-shirts and hats all the way to novelties, and even BBQ sauces, which is very Kansas City if you ask me. Plus, if you're nearby Union Station and are trying to find a spot that sells local team merchandise, it's super convenient, ya know?

Word on the street is, this place has some real gems working there. Folks keep mentioning how helpful the employees are – Mary, Josie, Geonna, Tania… these names keep popping up with customers highlighting how they go above and beyond to help find what you need. So many seem to love the selection, like they are well-stocked with Chiefs stuff, which is a big plus for a lot of people. There were some issues noted about staff being unprofessional though. I hear some complain about gossip or not being attentive or price issues. But I also heard some say that it was the best customer service that they ever had and that the variety was amazing.
