Friends have said their fellas always get compliments when they wear stuff from there; plus, they seem to have unique things that make a statement.
Word on the street is that the staff can be pretty helpful, though sometimes I wonder if some folks are just paid to say that? Anyway, I've read reviews mentioning Archie and Ms. Jackie specifically as being great at helping guys put outfits together. People mention the prices being reasonable, especially for the quality. Plus, the alterations are quick, which is a huge plus. I did hear one story about someone having a bad experience with a return and the owner, but mostly it seems like people think it's one of the better places in the area.

It sounds like they carry both men's and women's clothing, so I suppose you could drag your boyfriend along or whatever.
Numerous people are really saying good things about the customer service. It’s not always easy finding people that actually try to help anymore. I've read so many comments mentioning Staci and Mrs. Chang by name, which implies they're doing a fantastic job, because it can be hard to find competent retail workers. Reviews online seem to love that their clothes fit super well and that they have good prices; one person even said the store has "everything you need." Somebody even said it was the "best shop in the gump", but some people have had some issues with certain things, so there's that.

Also, somebody mentioned they carry size 12 shoes, that's super useful info for those who need it.
From what I've gathered, the staff seems genuinely helpful, which can totally make or break a shopping trip; customer service can make or break a business. Cato Fashions in Montgomery has definitely popped up on my radar as a place to check out for clothes. Though, I did see one review that said they felt like they were being watched, which is a little weird; hopefully that's just a one-off thing. Some reviews I saw said the selection can skew a little mature, but I guess it depends on your personal style, right?

Foot Locker in Montgomery is a reliable spot when you're on the hunt for athletic apparel and sneakers. They usually have a really solid selection, from major brands to a decent range of sizes, which is cool. You can typically find all the latest Jordans there, which is a big plus if you're into those, alongside many other popular kicks.
What's really nice about that store, though, is that most people I know compliment their customer service. Employees tend to be pretty attentive, sometimes going that extra mile to help you locate what you're looking for, its been a real treat to see this in Montgomery stores. They also get points for keeping things friendly and approachable while offering competitive prices. I have come across some negative feedback, though. Apparently, one person struggled getting the staff to apply the military discount, and some folks seem to find it hard to locate certain sizes.

TJ Maxx in Montgomery is where I find random stuff you didn't even know you needed, and the prices are generally pretty sweet. It's got the usual suspects when it comes to clothes, shoes, and bags, but they also have home stuff and beauty products, which is nice. They also carry a variety of snacks, including some that you can't find anywhere else.
I have noticed that people who shop there seem to really dig the staff, mentioning how nice and helpful they are, that they always have open registers, and that the store is kept tidy. Rainbow Shops in Montgomery is a pretty decent place if you're trying to find something cute and affordable. You know, they have a ton of clothes, shoes, and even perfumes, which is useful when you need a last-minute gift idea. I think what really sets them apart, though, is their plus-size section; it's actually good, which is not always the case for stores that carry plus sizes.
People seem to have good experiences when they go; some even drive a pretty long way to get there, and it's because they always can find a good bargain. The staff are typically helpful and friendly, and folks mention that the store is clean and organized, which, let's be real, makes shopping so much less stressful. City Gear, that place in Montgomery, seems pretty popular. Apparently, they have a good selection of clothes and shoes; I've been hearing a lot about their Nike and Jordan stuff. You know, it's supposed to be a nice place to treat yourself since they have some really good deals.
Word is, the customer service at that store is on point. So many people compliment the staff, calling them friendly and helpful, which is a huge plus. Some people are there all the time, talking about the sales, and they really value the great experiences. Though, like with any place, you have some complaints like maybe issues with online orders and their return policy when you pay in cash. It's apparently a go-to spot particularly appreciated if you need larger sizes, which, let's be honest, isn't always easy to find in places that still look sharp.
What I keep hearing is that the customer service is really on point, with people saying the staff are friendly and know their stuff when it comes to trends. Plus, from the looks of it, they carry brands such as Dreamland, Born Fly, Parish, even Levi. The real kicker could be the tailoring service; sounds like it's high-quality and affordable, though a couple of people did mention prices on that were a little much. All in all, if you're searching for something new in Montgomery, it sounds like a good option even if a few reviewers felt watched in there.

Monday: [8 AM-6 PM], Tuesday: [8 AM-6 PM], Wednesday: [8 AM-6 PM], Thursday: [8 AM-6 PM], Friday: [8 AM-6 PM], Saturday: [9 AM-4 PM], Sunday: [Closed]
Maxwell AFB Military Clothing store seems to be the go-to spot in Montgomery when you need anything military-clothing related. Word is, they stock a good selection of uniform pieces, ribbons, medals, and even boots to meet the needs of our service members, which is great. Apparently, they also offer tailoring services right there in the store, which is super convenient if you need alterations done to your service or mess dress; but I heard it could take a week.
What I keep hearing is that the staff are really helpful and friendly, which is a major plus. From what I can gather, the selection of uniform items is generally good, and the prices are decent. People have mentioned that their inventory is better than what you'd find at most military clothing stores, and they usually have everything you need in stock. On the downside, I've read that some Army folks were a bit bummed about the limited selection of Army uniforms; it seems to be more focused on Air Force stuff, which seems unfair. And while a few people had less-than-stellar experiences with the sew shop, others have mentioned it's really helpful, but I hope staffing is a good level in the future.

Spencer's in Montgomery is that place you go when you need a gift that's a little...different. They have everything from graphic tees and accessories to party supplies and, believe it or not, a decent anime section. It's definitely the kind of store where you can find something for everyone, even if some of it is, lets be honest, kinda overpriced.
The vibe I've gotten from other shoppers seems pretty positive, with a lot of people commenting about how friendly the staff is, specifically mentioning someone named Jerry. I think a lot of people appreciate that they carry a good selection of items, especially the clearance stuff. The only problem some people had, seems to be that it's sometimes messy and doesn't always have a "cool" vibe, which isn't ideal. And it sounds as if those who want bigger shirts (2XL shirts) have to go elsewhere. Still, people seem to enjoy it for a place to laugh and feel nostalgic.

It sounds that sometimes you get what you pay for, as the quality can waver depending on the item, and if you go at the wrong time of day, it can get a bit hectic. Several reviewers said the staff's attitudes can be a mixed bag; some encounters sound positive, others not so much, however others have said the employees were friendly and helpful. I guess you could say it's also known for having a huge selection of accessories, shoes, even that whole beauty counter situation with the makeup and skincare things. They also have bedding, plus some home decor items, making it one of those places you could just run in and get a few items.
What I hear is that shoppers definitely seem to appreciate the clearance sales because you can find a good deal. Seriously, there are some new items at greatly reduced prices there, that's what they say. A lot of folks mention how helpful and professional the staff can be, also, how the store is generally pretty neat and clean. Then there's the whole order-online-pick-up-in-store option, which is convenient, but you might encounter customer service issues during the process.
