Onion River Outdoors in Montpelier is supposed to be *the* place to go if you're into anything outdoorsy. Seriously, people seem to love them. I've heard it has like all the gear you could ever need: bikes, skis, clothes, the works. Plus everyone raves how helpful the staff are, always ready with advice. They seem super knowledgeable and eager to help you find exactly what you need, which is nice cause sometimes you just wander around shops aimlessly, you know?

A lot of people compliment Onion River Outdoors for their amazing customer service, which is always a plus, right? Especially their bike mechanics, who apparently are total wizards and fix bikes without charging an arm and a leg. And you gotta love a shop that's involved in the community. I've seen they host bike events, which is pretty cool. Word is they're a little on the pricier side, but then again, good quality often comes with a higher price tag. Overall, it seems most people consider them top tier when it comes to outdoor gear in Montpelier.

Heather's NEARLY NEW sounds like a pretty decent spot in Montpelier, especially if you're on the hunt for affordable kids' stuff. I hear they have a huge selection, I mean, with clothes, shoes, toys, and even baby gear. It's also good to know there's a maternity section, because finding good maternity clothes without breaking the bank is always a win, you know?

From what I gather, it's a good place to consign your old stuff, they're apparently offering fairer prices than some of the other places, which is something to consider when clearing out your closet. I did see a few reviews that mentioned the owner not being the friendliest, but honestly you can't please everybody, though customer service is important for sure. Overall, though, it appears a lot of people find it useful, particularly those with kiddos who grow out of clothes faster than you can blink.
