#1 Hollister Co.
100 Grand Central Ave, Parkersburg, WV 26105
Thursday: [11 AM-8 PM], Friday: [11 AM-8 PM], Saturday: [11 AM-8 PM], Sunday: [12-6 PM], Monday: [11 AM-8 PM], Tuesday: [11 AM-8 PM], Wednesday: [11 AM-8 PM]
Hollister at the Grand Central Mall is one of those stores that seems pretty popular. It's stocked with what I think are some trendy clothes and also they sell perfume, which is cool. Word on the street is, it's one of the better places in Parkersburg if you're hunting for something new, you know? I've heard that it's supposed to have some good finds without costing too much; and for some, they think of it as the equivalent to Gucci with its designs and quality. Of course, the specific things they have in stock changes, but it sounds the target demographic is probably younger, which is fine!
I've also heard folks mention the employees there at Hollister are super friendly and helpful, which is a relief honestly. If they go out of there way to find the right size, that's impressive customer service. What's great is customers can save a lot of money with sales and discounts; with some people getting great deals. Also a lot of customers have said that the place is clean, it helps you feel like you can shop easier and not worry about a mess. There's the occasional issue - complaints about the selection and sometimes the clothing not holding up after a couple wears - I mean, it happens.

#2 Plato's Closet Parkersburg, WV
204 Lakeview Center, Parkersburg, WV 26101
Thursday: [10 AM-8 PM], Friday: [10 AM-8 PM], Saturday: [10 AM-8 PM], Sunday: [11 AM-6 PM], Monday: [10 AM-8 PM], Tuesday: [10 AM-8 PM], Wednesday: [10 AM-8 PM]
Plato's Closet in Parkersburg is this kinda cool secondhand store, where you can buy or sell your name-brand clothes, shoes, and accessories if you are a teen or young adult. It is really good for clothes on a budget. They have a pretty wide selection, too, so if you're near Parkersburg, you should check it out.
I hear good things about the Parkersburg location. So many customers always go on and on about how neat and organized it is, which I can totally appreciate. Also, a lot of people mention the great customer service, especially when Caitlyn, Jenn, Rebekah, Autumn, Sami, Emma, Jennifer Sprague, Kate, Rocky, Haley Schroyer, Katherine, TK, Adrienne, Katlyn, Julia, Kayla, Lexi, Rachel, or Shana are there – customers say they're super friendly and helpful when you need an item. Of course, there are always a few who aren't thrilled with their buyback policy and they never have clothes for plus sizes, and some stuff can be, I guess, a bit expensive, quality control could probably use a small bump.

#3 T.J. Maxx
100 Grand Central Mall, Parkersburg, WV 26105
Thursday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM], Friday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM], Saturday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM], Sunday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM], Monday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM], Tuesday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM], Wednesday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM]
T.J. Maxx in Parkersburg has all kinds of things, you know? Clothes, shoes, home stuff, even some beauty things and snacks. I've heard its got brand-name stuff without the crazy prices, which is probably why people dig it. It really depends on what you are looking for, if you want a good clothing store in Parkersburg, then maybe this is it.
A lot of reviews mentions friendly staff and how tidy it is, that's a plus. Finding random, cool items is such a win; it's that feeling where you see something and are absolutely sure you need it in your life. Apparently, the new location is nice and bright, too, which is always a good thing. Also, it seems to have a wide range of stuff for everyone including pets, I can't tell how they handle their pet policy though. But, not everything is perfect, you know how it is. There's been some complaints about not enough plus sizes, disorganized clothes, or just not-so-great customer service at times. Its also possible it will be super crowded which can be kind of off-putting.

#4 Hornor & Harrison
2709 Murdoch Ave B1, Parkersburg, WV 26101
Thursday: [10 AM-6 PM], Friday: [10 AM-6 PM], Saturday: [10 AM-5 PM], Sunday: [Closed], Monday: [10 AM-6 PM], Tuesday: [10 AM-6 PM], Wednesday: [10 AM-6 PM]
Hornor & Harrison is a solid spot in Parkersburg if you're looking for men's or women's clothes, they've got a real range of stuff. You can get everyday clothes, suits, tuxedos, and even accessories, I heard they have cologne and handmade bracelets from Amsterdam and it's hard to find those in my area. A big plus seems to be that they tailor on-site, so your clothes will actually fit right. It seems like a good place to find clothes if you want something you can't find within a 50-mile radius.
People seem to really rate their customer service highly, mentioning that staff members are friendly and really know their stuff, plus they're attentive, though. One reviewer was super pleased with Jeff Hall. Some folks even called out particular employees by name, which is really saying something! Also, multiple customers have had great experiences finding items with Michael's help. Overall, customers feel that they pay for quality and service. Occasionally someone will have a less-than-stellar time; I did read a few comments mentioning issues with returns if you've had something altered, or that sometimes pricing isn't totally clear, but most of the feedback is pretty glowing.

#5 Gabe's
280 Park Center Dr, Parkersburg, WV 26101
Thursday: [9 AM-10 PM], Friday: [9 AM-11 PM], Saturday: [9 AM-11 PM], Sunday: [9 AM-10 PM], Monday: [9 AM-10 PM], Tuesday: [9 AM-10 PM], Wednesday: [9 AM-10 PM]
Okay, so Gabe's in Parkersburg is kind of a one-stop shop for, well, everything. You can find clothes, shoes, stuff for your house, toys, even some snacks! For people trying to ball on a budget, and who isn't these days, it's considered the best spot for clothing, right? It's got that treasure hunt vibe, like you're digging for gold, but it's actually, like, a name-brand sweater for a steal. Word to the wise, you should definitely check everything over for snags or whatever *before* you head to the checkout, you know?
Honestly, lots of people rave about Gabe's. I mean, it's basically a chorus of praise because the deals are supposedly amazing and the prices can't be beat. Folks love the whole 'treasure hunt' thing, finding hidden gems and scoring name-brand stuff without breaking the bank. A lot of reviews mention that the staff is super friendly, the bathrooms are clean which is so important, and the store has a easy to follow layout. And yeah, you can get surprised by the unexpected finds and bargains. But some people have noted that sometimes the store is messy, which can be a drag, and a few reviews have pointed out you gotta check your items, or you'll be bummed to have a hole you didnt see. Checkout lines? They can get long, so keep that in mind, you may have to wait awhile, but the savings could be worth it.
