#1 DECKADENCE BOARD SHOPPE
326 W Center St, Pocatello, ID 83204
Wednesday: [12-6 PM], Thursday: [12-6 PM], Friday: [12-6 PM], Saturday: [12-6 PM], Sunday: [Closed], Monday: [12-6 PM], Tuesday: [12-6 PM]
Deckadence Board Shoppe in Pocatello isn't your typical skate shop; it's more of a hangout for people into board sports. They have so much stuff, from skateboard parts and scooter parts, to snowboards, plus, um, even spray paint, which is kinda unexpected. You can find complete boards, clothes, stickers, and all kinds of accessories, so prices really vary, which is nice I guess. If you're trying to find a new place to check out for skater and snow gear, then people are saying this spot is pretty good.
Seriously though, people seem obsessed with the owner, D'Beau; or, like, Dbo, maybe Darin too. I've heard the dude is super patient, friendly, and knows his stuff, so customers seem to love him. They say he goes out of his way to help beginners, offer advice, and even helps fix your board right there in the shop. The general consensus is that the service is great, the prices are fair, and it has a welcoming atmosphere, plus, they said they also have a cool cat in there named Goombah. I don't think people have anything bad to say about Deckadence, so overall it's a good place for the Pocatello community.

#2 T.J. Maxx
4150 Yellowstone Ave, Pocatello, ID 83202
Wednesday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM], Thursday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM], Friday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM], Saturday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM], Sunday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM], Monday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM], Tuesday: [9:30 AM-9:30 PM]
TJ Maxx in Pocatello seems to have a reputation, though. It's a spot where you can find all sorts of stuff; clothing, shoes, little things for your house, even furniture – the list goes on. I hear it's sort of a treasure hunt, but you gotta keep your eyes peeled to find the deals. When you're wanting someplace to go shopping in Pocatello with a bunch of different options, TJ Maxx could totally be worth a stop.
I've read that people seem to find the store is in good condition with friendly employees. Most people appreciate finding name-brand stuff for a fraction of what it is normally. Some reviews mentioned how much they love the home decor and beauty selection, I might have to visit just to check it out. Employees, such as Cassandra, Sierra, and Dart, were mentioned multiple times as very nice. I can see why you'd get hooked trying to find unexpected bargains, the reviews had me at "treasure hunt", even if the prices could sometimes be more reasonable and they could carry more plus-size options.

#3 Big 5 Sporting Goods
700 W Quinn Rd, Pocatello, ID 83202
Wednesday: [10 AM-8:30 PM], Thursday: [10 AM-8:30 PM], Friday: [10 AM-9 PM], Saturday: [9 AM-8:30 PM], Sunday: [9:30 AM-7:30 PM], Monday: [10 AM-8:30 PM], Tuesday: [10 AM-8:30 PM]
Big 5 Sporting Goods in Pocatello seems to be a go-to spot for sportswear, outdoor things, and shoes, I hear. They've got a good range, so you can totally grab athletic wear but camping stuff is also in the mix, plus random things such as knives and some exercise gear. It's kinda one-stop-shop situation, you know?
Apparently, the staff there are usually pretty helpful, which is honestly such a win. People online are saying they’ve scored some awesome deals, especially when it comes to kicks, though some have said prices can be kind of high. Lots of customers keep saying its clean, and pretty organized; there's nothing worse then heading into a messy store! Plus, despite being a smaller store, the selection is decent- but from what I'm hearing, it can be a bit hard getting someone to help you.

#4 Old Navy
1710 Hurley Dr, Pocatello, ID 83202
Wednesday: [10 AM-9 PM], Thursday: [10 AM-9 PM], Friday: [10 AM-9 PM], Saturday: [10 AM-9 PM], Sunday: [10 AM-7 PM], Monday: [10 AM-9 PM], Tuesday: [10 AM-9 PM]
The Old Navy in Pocatello is super convenient, I'm glad there's one closer than Idaho Falls. It's got a good selection, and you can usually find something for everyone in the family - it's a lifesaver. I read that people have found decent jeans there that they couldn't get somewhere else. People mention that the prices can be a little steep, but it appears you can usually find some sales or discounts if you keep an eye out. They do seem to carry a variety of sizes and styles. The store tries to stay on top of current fashion.
What I hear a lot is that the employees really stand out, especially when people need help with exchanges - the reviews are saying people go out of their way. It's always nice when a store is clean and organized, and apparently this Old Navy is generally well-stocked, too. While it appears that some people have difficulty with price matching policies or limited choices in plus or tall sizes, the general consensus is that it's great to have an Old Navy right in Pocatello. I've noticed some people are reporting a nice variety of clothing.

#5 Idaho Youth Ranch Thrift Store

Wednesday: [9 AM-8 PM], Thursday: [9 AM-8 PM], Friday: [9 AM-8 PM], Saturday: [9 AM-8 PM], Sunday: [9 AM-8 PM], Monday: [9 AM-8 PM], Tuesday: [9 AM-8 PM]
The Idaho Youth Ranch Thrift Store in Pocatello is a great place for finding hidden gems. You can always find something new because their inventory is constantly changing, with clothes, furniture, books, and random household items showing up daily. I hear they have pretty decent prices, especially if you are looking for brands, say, like Under Armour or Levi's, and the best thing is your purchase helps fund their programs for at-risk youth. They’re open at 9 am every day, which is great if you're an early bird and want to beat the crowds.
It's pretty cool hearing all the positive buzz about the Youth Ranch. People seem to think the staff are really friendly and helpful, which makes a big difference when you're browsing, right? And, I keep seeing stuff about how clean the store is, that's important. Plus, they have a rewards program, so you can rack up points for future thrifting trips! I guess some shoppers have mentioned prices can be inconsistent, and checkout can be a little slow sometimes; I’m sure there’s always something that can be improved on, but the overall vibe sounds worth checking out, yeah?

#6 Ross Dress for Less
1746 Hurley Dr, Pocatello, ID 83202
Wednesday: [9:30 AM-10 PM], Thursday: [9:30 AM-10 PM], Friday: [9 AM-10:30 PM], Saturday: [9 AM-10:30 PM], Sunday: [9:30 AM-10 PM], Monday: [9:30 AM-10 PM], Tuesday: [9:30 AM-10 PM]
Ross in Pocatello, it's a treasure trove. You can find stuff for everyone--men, women, kids. It's a good option if you are looking for plus sizes, too. They’ve got shoes, stuff for your house, even toys. Sometimes you luck out and find electronics, but you never know for sure. I heard you find some really good designer brands for less than normal.
I always hear people rave about their prices and the satisfaction of finding a great deal. Folks seem to appreciate the huge selection of clothing, shoes, and home goods. Many people mention friendly staff, saying this location is cleaner than some others. I have seen they have some great back to school stuff, I have also seen some great deals around the Holidays. Some reviewers complain about messes, slow checkout times, and sometimes the selection isn't fully stocked, though. The size selection can also be limited sometimes, and some folks have mentioned not-so-friendly employees from time to time.

#7 Karnation Intimate Apparel Inc.
150 E Quinn Rd, Pocatello, ID 83201
Wednesday: [10 AM-7 PM], Thursday: [10 AM-7 PM], Friday: [10 AM-7 PM], Saturday: [10 AM-7 PM], Sunday: [Closed], Monday: [10 AM-7 PM], Tuesday: [10 AM-7 PM]
Karnation Intimate Apparel Inc. is this cute boutique in Pocatello and they specialize in lingerie, bras, and just all sorts of romantic stuff. It's sounds really good and people can totally find something that fits what they want, whatever it is. From what I hear, the store keeps everything organized and pretty clean, which is nice, and they do both in-store and online shopping if you're, lets just say, looking for that sort of clothing store nearby. You hear they're known for really knowing their stuff when it comes to bra fittings and they have a wide range of sizes, which is important to include more people.
Honestly, the reviews I've read are gushing about how helpful and nice the staff is at Karnation, especially Michelle, Rachel, and Sara. So I mean that is good right? It’s like, they really know their stuff and make shoppers feel good, which is so important! So many people have said that the staff went above and beyond to give them awesome recommendations, good bra fittings, and just helping out in a discreet way so I'm sure many of you will be comfortable. The store also has an atmosphere that's clean, and it does seem professional, combined with a pretty great selection of lingerie, so that's probably why people like shopping there. But there have been a few mentions about issues, concerning the return policy or with online orders but that can happen with any store if you think about it.

#8 JCPenney
4201 Yellowstone Ave, Pocatello, ID 83202
Wednesday: [11 AM-7 PM], Thursday: [11 AM-7 PM], Friday: [11 AM-7 PM], Saturday: [11 AM-7 PM], Sunday: [12-6 PM], Monday: [11 AM-7 PM], Tuesday: [11 AM-7 PM]
JCPenney in Pocatello has a bunch of stuff, you know? Clothes for everyone, jewelry, shoes, that kind of thing and like some home goods too and they have a salon. I heard the selection varies, but some people think it's the best place in Pocatello to get men's clothes. I mean, you can find stuff for the whole family, work clothes, casual stuff, and all the accessories to complete the look. The prices might be a little up there, but they have sales a lot and coupons that can help.
A lot of people seem to dig JCPenney because the employees are nice and helpful. Also, they keep it clean and often have good deals going on, especially when those sales and coupons kick in. There are plenty of reviews where shoppers had great experiences with particular employees, which is always nice, especially when the prices might be higher. Some people say they have a big selection, which is a plus, especially if you're trying to find clothes for kids. Still, some common gripes are slow checkout lines and a lack of help on the floor.
