#1 Luers Group
1520 S MacArthur Blvd, Springfield, IL 62704
Monday: [10 AM-6 PM], Tuesday: [10 AM-6 PM], Wednesday: [10 AM-6 PM], Thursday: [10 AM-6 PM], Friday: [10 AM-6 PM], Saturday: [10 AM-5 PM], Sunday: [Closed]
Luers Group is supposed to be *the* spot in Springfield for kids clothes, especially if you're after shoes, uniforms, or dance stuff. I've heard they're great with those tricky shoe sizes that are tough to find. A friend had a kid, and she said the brands they carry are really good quality too. Plus, I've seen online that they have these train sets at toddler height, which is kinda cute, isn't it?
Honestly, a lot of the reviews talk about how amazing the service is, which is good because some places have salespeople that ignore you. Apparently, the staff really know their stuff when it comes to fitting little feet, and that makes all the difference. I think people have special memories of getting their kid's first real shoes there. Also, the loyalty punch card sounds kinda neat, and I noticed that they have pretty decent prices. It seems to be a one-stop shop for parents trying to get uniforms or dance clothes, and everyone mentions how patient and helpful the staff are. I did see a few comments saying the return policy isn't great -- something about store credit instead of refunds, but it is what it is. Apparently sometimes finding someone to help can also be challenging. But overall, from what I see, Luers Group is still a pretty solid option for kids' clothes in Springfield.

#2 District 23 Boutique
830 S Grand Ave W, Springfield, IL 62704
Monday: [10 AM-6 PM], Tuesday: [10 AM-6 PM], Wednesday: [10 AM-6 PM], Thursday: [10 AM-6 PM], Friday: [10 AM-6 PM], Saturday: [10 AM-4 PM], Sunday: [12-4 PM]
District 23 Boutique is a clothing store option situated in Springfield that carries unique items, or so I hear. Word on the street is, they have a good selection of on-trend clothing, shoes, and jewelry, and it's a great spot to find a gift if you need one. Plus, I think all the money they make goes to helping people get hearing aids or cochlear implants or something, which is pretty cool, honestly.
I keep hearing good things about the staff there; folks say they're always friendly and ready to lend a hand. A lot of people seem to think the customer service is great because employees try to help you find clothes that flatter you. But, I also read somewhere that it seems they mostly carry smaller sizes, which isn't helpful if you're on the other end of the size spectrum. And there was one review where somebody thought they experienced racial profiling, which is obviously concerning, although it could've been a misunderstanding on the customer's part; it's a shame incidents like that happen, I guess.

Word on the street is that the Buckle in Springfield is a solid choice if you're looking to refresh your wardrobe. I’ve heard that they're known for good quality stuff and that the customer service really makes a difference. Apparently, they carry a good selection of designer western wear, along with jeans that are actually comfy, and plenty of stylish tops.
People are consistently saying that the staff is super helpful and not at all pushy, which is a major plus. The manager, Bobette, gets shout-outs all the time; customers rave about her exceptional service. There's a lot of talk about them being especially good at finding the right fit, even when someone has unique needs. One person mentioned a sales woman named Mary who went above and beyond for her two special needs sons, she’s the goat. Sure, some folks mention that the prices, especially for jeans, can be a little higher. But I’ve also heard that the quality mostly makes it worthwhile, plus their rewards program, MACQY, can help offset that some.

#4 Renown Apparel
2501 Wabash Ave, Springfield, IL 62704
Renown Apparel seems to be a solid choice if you're looking for custom clothing in Springfield; they are conveniently located. They're known for doing embroidery, printing, including even 3D work, on all kinds of stuff, not just shirts; you can also get sweatshirts and keepsakes made. From what I gather, they're good at getting stuff done fast, but some people feel that the communication could use some work, though.
Honestly, everyone seems to agree that the customer service is generally top-notch, they praise the staff's friendliness, patience, and even their talent. A lot of reviewers mention how they're able to handle detailed work and are accommodating, even when there's last-minute chaos. I read that they have reasonable pricing which really matters, and that they can even help you with design stuff. A few people had mentioned wanting weekend hours, so, you know, maybe call ahead.

They’ve got a pretty good selection too, from everyday stuff such as jeans and t-shirts, to work clothes, fancy dresses, and intimates. And to complete the look, they also carry shoes and accessories, how convenient is that.
It appears quite a lot of people enjoy shopping there, they are loving the comfort of the bras, and you know how important a well-fitting bra is. The sales associates are often commended on their kindness and willingness to help, whether it's finding a specific size or ordering something not in stock. If you are lucky you might catch a sale there, though a few have mentioned being less than thrilled with the return policy and how the pants fit, particularly if you're petite. But overall, it seems like Lane Bryant still holds a special place in the hearts of Springfield shoppers looking for plus-size styles.

#6 Happy Daze Gift Shop LLC

Happy Daze Gift Shop LLC sounds like a pretty cool spot in Springfield. Apparently, they’ve got a ton of different stuff from clothes and accessories, which is always good to know if you need, say, a last minute gift, to tobacco and CBD products; plus I hear they sell hand-blown glass pieces and incense. I always appreciate a good, unique gift, especially ones with local ties.
What stands out to me are the reviews mentioning the people who work there because friendly customer service can really make or break a shopping experience, don’t you think? A lot of people say the staff is helpful and the pricing's fair and that they offer good-quality merchandise. Someone even wrote that the owner is a good salesman. From what I'm reading in the reviews, people seem to especially dig the art they put up out front so, for the most part, it's a win. One person mentioned inconsistent service, depends on who is working maybe? Another person thought it was steep compared to other places, though, overall, it sounds like Happy Daze has a solid reputation.

Torrid, you know, the one in Springfield, is pretty popular. It seems they really try to cater to plus-size women with fashionable clothes, bras, and shoes. It’s cool to have a place that’s dedicated to stylish options for those of us over a size 10. Plus, I've read they’re are pretty quick to point out any specials they have on, which is super helpful.
Apparently, people rave about the customer service, always mentioning how friendly the staff can be, and that's a big deal, right? A lot of customers appreciate that Torrid carries fashionable clothes that aren’t your grandma's style. Plus, who doesn't love a good sale or bonus offer? It's true though, there have been some complaints about the prices maybe being a touch high, or that it can be a little cramped, which leads to limited selection and it would be nice to see a bigger store. You can usually find what you are looking for with a lot of sales going on all the time. I have heard some stuff doesn't fit women who are older too. Regardless, it sounds they generally want every woman to feel confident in what they wear, which is awesome.

Springfield West Farm & Home Supply comes highly recommended; I've heard good things. They have a huge range of stuff, from the serious work gear and pet food to hardware, automotive bits, lawn and garden essentials, plus hunting stuff too. The store is also known for its selection of merchandise, I mean you can find ammunition there as well as adorable, maybe a little bit too extra, cowgirl boots and really dependable work clothes.
What people seem to rave about is the customer service - supposedly the staff will meet you at the door and actually help you locate what you're looking for, which is always nice. The reviews keep mentioning that the store is clean, well-organized and staff knowledge is top notch in regards to the store's products. Some even say it's a hidden gem with lots of different departments at competitive prices. Customers have a particular fondness for the work clothes, pet food, toys, and the service department, that's where all the good small engines are. Although I hear that some think that they should work on organization and that it can be a bit pricey for some items, but it's always a risk when shopping around.

It's a fun store, offering pop culture merch and accessories that you don't find everywhere, I mean, I wish they had more in stock.
I get why people dig it though; the staff is usually friendly, always around to help you find what you need but I sometimes wonder if they aren't gossiping too much. A lot of customers have been going there forever, loving the quality and sales, clearance stuff is always a win too! I've heard it can get crowded sometimes, and maybe a little messy, but overall, it still seems like a solid spot for the stuff that you can only get there.

Second Time Around, or STA Boutique if you're trying to be all cool and whatnot, is apparently *the* place in Springfield for scoring secondhand clothes. They really seem to hone in on quality stuff and, from what I hear, they've got a pretty impressive size range, which you don't always find at places focusing on consignment. It's great when you can find designer stuff without totally breaking the bank, you know?
Word on the street is their selection is on point, especially since they organize by size and color, which helps cut down on the chaos of thrift stores. It's also a plus to hear that people usually find the staff friendly, and that the prices are decent. Plus, shopping secondhand is a small way to feel better about not contributing to fast fashion's mess, I guess. Still, some people have complained about a few of the employees being a little off or the owner seeming disinterested, and some even felt the racks felt too crammed to really browse, which kind of stinks. It's a bit of a downer if you feel hurried while you're shopping. It sounds like they have a good reputation, despite a few of those hiccups.

Penny Lane Gifts in Springfield is quite a unique spot; they have pretty much everything you could imagine under one roof. It's got this awesome mix going on, from band t-shirts and incense to, you know, those holistic oils and kitschy rock stuff. Plus, they've got a solid selection of hippie-inspired goods, gifts that stand out, and, shall we say, accessories for those who partake (if that’s what you’re after).
People seem to really dig it, though, which I can see. I think it's the sheer variety, a lot of people who leave reviews on sites mention the staff being helpful, which is always a plus. It's kinda like stepping back in time, think 70s or 80s vibes, something about the atmosphere I hear is just, well, different. You know they have fair prices and a sweet black light room and I think most of the time customers love them except sometimes their online ordering system can be a pain, and a small fraction seem to think some of the smoking accessories are a little expensive compared to elsewhere.

Their jeans, specifically, are a big win for a lot of people and they carry so many different lengths which is great when you're taller. And who doesn't enjoy finding a good deal? They always seem to have some kind of sale going on, especially in the clearance section.
What really makes American Eagle stand out is the staff; their super friendly and always willing to help you find what you need. The store itself is usually pretty clean and organized, which I always appreciate. I've heard that the selection is great and they limit the number of people inside which keeps it from being chaotic. Apparently, the clearance can be a bit unorganized at times, and depending on the item their regular prices can be a little high, but I've heard that people are happy with the store.
